again with those stronger wind speeds it's going to feel like it's closer to the 30s. we want to check in for now with jessica boyington for a closer look at traffic. good morning. good morning, brittney. watching the admiral wilson boulevard right now. coming from new jersey right now heading into the city not too bad. we're not seeing any problems. the rest of the bridges okay, too. and the walt and betsey ross are nice and clear, too. the bridges are okay and also the 42 freeway is, too. before you get there you need to know what that looks. five minutes right now from 55 to the walt. speeds there into the 50s and high 60s. 4:00 a.m. and breaking right now in bucks county a firefighter is hurt in ae h kno. fire officials tell us the

firefighter has been taken to the hospital, but we don't know yet what happened or the firefighter's condition. we'll bring you more updates on-air and online. also breaking right now. an elderly woman is in the hospital after a bullet flow through her window and hit her in the leg. they found the victim with a gunshot wound to her knee. she's been taken oo the hospital but is expected to be okay. cus. right now the puer is out still for thousands of people through our area as crews continue to cleanup the mess left behind from a major winter storm. and they're working to get the lights back on and clear the trees and debris off the roads. matt, the community is coming together to help those still in the dark. tell us more. >> reporter: right. and some folks are lending a hand with folks who need their

phones charged and things of that sort. and you have streets like these littered with debris. the only light you see are coming from our trucks and camera. there are about 56,000 peco customers still without power this morning. depending on those with power to let them charge their phones or get inside and out of the cold weather, peco has brought in some repair teams from other states to help string some more wires here to get the power back on. and the county is telling residents power might not be fully restored until wednesday or thursday. >> they can't get to the wires because the number of large tree. so we need all the resources

most septa trains yesterday were running with minor delays. now take a look at 30th street station. all scheduled amtrak trains are running normally again. 4:04 righthest county some owners very happy to be reunited with their pets. the storm on friday stranded more than 100 dogs at the what a good dog day care and boarding center. yesterday the center setup a meeting place to return the pets to their owners. >> they took amazing care of my dog and now i have him. >> you're happy to have him

back. >> you have no idea. >> the road to the boarding center is back open. and turn to the nbc 10 app to get the latest updates on storm outages and school closings. it's 4:05. two men are in the hospital in critical condition. police say it started at the store on the corner of whittaker and roosevelt boulevard. five men started fighting, one man pulled a gun and shot two victims in the chest before running off. no one is in custody. today prosecutors in the bill cosby case will argue more women should be allowed to testify against him in trial. prosecutors want to call as many as 19 other women to show the comedian had a five decade pattern of harming women. cosby's attorneys say they'll and for the trial to be delay.

the 80-year-old is accused of sexually assaulting andrea constand. jury selection is scheduled for the end of the month. and today's hearing comes less than two weeks after the death of his cosby's daughter. she died of kidney disease. also happening today it is a crime that shocked our region last summer when four men were found murdered on a bucks county farm. today three of the victim's families and their lawyers will be talking about their quest for justice. they'll announce what they call a major development. as soon as we know what happened, we'll send out an alert on our nbc 10 app. police responded to the chucky cheese last night. the brawl involved more than a dozen people. one customer suffered a minor stab wound.

a restaurant employee who was hurt while trying to break up the fight is recovering. investigators are looking into the cause of this brawl. police in montgomery county investigating a shooting by one of their officers in abington township. it started when a woman with stab wounds went into the mckinley fire company for help. officers shot the man. we're working to find out the woman's condition, the man's condition and how the two are connected. you can see the flag waving last night in tribute to red cross month. red lights will light up the battleship for the rest of the month for everyone who has made the humanitarian position possible. the 90th annual academy awards were hand out last night.

right now at 31 decrease grees trenton. coatesville, allentown waking up with us with temperatures below freezing at 30 degrees. satellite radar shots show conditions for us, but we are going to see blizzard conditions here across the dakotas and plains. and we'll also watch another piece of the system developing off the coast of carolinas. as these two interact and start to head our way, this is what we're watching as we push into wednesday, the potential for rain, a wintery mix or even snowfall as we head into the entire day wednesday. so the precipitation will start in the morning and we'll see another change oversimilar to what we saw friday. still a powerful storm is back in the forecast for us. as we go into the rest of today, center city daytime high is 48

4:00 a.m. florida lawmakers have just fbi days left to pass new gun laws in a bill named after the school. >> today the florida senate is expected to pass a watered dow include a ban on assault weapons or the sale of bump stock magazines. it does include millions of dollars in mental health funding for schools and raising the age to 21 to buy a rifle. students from the parkland school say their fight is far from over. >> it's either we see change or we're going to change our politicians. >> in reality none of this can happen unless people put their vote up and make it count. >> once the bill is passed in the florida senate it will go to the house for a vote. >> a band from margery douglas stoneman high school will

prepared for whatever could come our way wednesday. >> let's check in with meteorologist brittney shipp. >> as we head into wednesday, the middle part of your workweek that's when things are going to get interesting. breezy conditions, lots of sunshine expected for us but definitely chilly. it's going to feel like we're in the high 30s even in the afternoon because wind speeds are still going to stay gusting around 20 miles an hour. and as we head into tomorrow clouds will increase during the day. so another nor'easter is on the way for us. a closer look at your satellite radar shows everything is nice and quiet. again, lots of sunshine towards the afternoon, and then we gear up for what is going to happen as we push into wednesday. looks like tuesday night we'll see a bit of activity starting to move in. it'll be after 9:00, 10:00 tuesday night. and as we see colder air come in with this system we could see heavy snow moving through most

of the day on wednesday. so we're going to keep updating this and let you know it's going to be rain or wintery mix or snowfall. right now it looks like we are dealing with yet another nor'easter for our area. here's the break down as we compare this system. we do expect to see strong winds once again. not quite as strong what we see. still between 20 to 30 miles an hour with wind gusts up to 40-miles-per-hour. some coastal flooding and we'll be watching the potential for heavy snow, especially over your wednesday evening commute. so it looks like both commutes will be wet and potentially wednesday evening will be the worst of the two. three-day outlook shows temperatures right around 48 degrees for today. heading into tuesday, similar conditions. heavy snow towards the afternoon. for our pa suburbs on monday, 47 degrees today as we push into

tomorrow mid-40s once again, and our temperatures will drop down to about 37 degrees. closer to the lehigh valley, 46 degrees for us today, 43 on tuesday and temperatures again dropping into the 30s. for new jersey your temperatures will stay warmer even with the next system moving through. for the jersey shore 43 degrees for tuesday, and same thing as we push into wednesday. and for delaware we're closer to 50 degrees for today and tomorrow. and temperatures take a hit as we head into wednesday. for your ten-day forecast it shows we'll be dealing with breezy conditions for today. and as we push into tuesday more sunshine and clouds increase later on. then we watch for nor'easter number two wednesday. then we slowly start to recover heading into thursday and friday. and we'll see temperatures returning back to normal and even watching for potentially another system as we head into next tuesday and wednesday. so a lot happening with our ten-day forecast. we'll keep you updated.

>> bow, when we start giving numerical numbers to our nor'easters. let's find out what's happening in the lehigh valley. >> right around our cameras at lehigh street we're not seeing really any problems right now. good to go out door there. the northbound girard avenue's on-ramp was blocked with construction. it looks like that's clear. right now looking at the southbound side. 13 minute trip from the vine to center city. there's a vehicle off the road on the southbound side of the new jersey turnpike just after exit 5 and off into the shoulder it's only blocking that shoulder lane. so for now all the traffic is getting by. if you're a little nervous you can take 295 but i don't think you need to.
