still without power tonight. >> toppled trees are still littering roads all over our areas. nbc 10 is tracking the storm all week long. >> bringing you live team coverage. and the new threat tonight. let's begin with chief meteorologist tammie souza. >> much of tomorrow is going to be pleasant and quiet. and first alert going to go into effect early on wednesday. by tomorrow evening, you will start to see light rain or snow falling depending on where you live. pennsylvania neighborhoods, all of them, in this first alert. south jersey in the first alert. northern delaware. only thing left out are central and south delaware and the jersey shore. our biggest concern with this

storm is the snow. the heavy wet snow that is going to fall. we are going to have messy commutes. wednesday morning it will be a bit on the messy side, but wednesday evening going to be a nightmare. heavy snow, and it is going to fall on a lot of the trees that have weakened. we will get gusty winds. not 70 miles per hour like the last storm. instead 35 to 40 miles per hour range. you are going to hear cracking branches and that means trouble. here is our system, coming out of the northern planes and the midwest where it is churning all day long. it is going to meet up with this low coming up the coast. the low is going to take over all of the energy and moving by rather quickly. you can see here it is going to

storm. mad dash to return electricity to thousands of those left in the dark. he knows the clock is ticking down until another storm is on the way. >> we can get power and that storm is not a problem. >> reporter: what if he can't get power? >> then we under trouble. >> havertown and some areas were the hardest hit. >> reporter: you can understand with this and the threat of this looming storm coming. >> it is a catastrophe. >> reporter: a large tree has been down for days. larry holmes came down. >> this particularly block is on the list. they will get to it as fast as possible. >> reporter: frustrated residents continue their search

for answers. randy telling nbc 10 time is running out. >> it is upsetting and we feel frustrated and powerless, literally. >> reporter: and in that neighborhood in winwood as residents tell me they were stalking the power countries trying to get any answers. three fire stations are open, also the ymca. let's head to the lehigh valley. this storm is one of the most damaging the power company has dealt with. about 2,000 customers in our area are still in the dark. it is the same story here in bucks county. trees toppled in doylestown. lining streets all over the

sheriff's department is accused of preying on women he supervises. she also says postel assaulted her another time at their work place. he has been suspended and will be fired. bill cosby and his lawyers will be back in the courtroom tomorrow. the judge will here arguments from 19 of cosby's accusers and if they will be allowed to testify in this case. today cosby's lawyers tried and failed to get the entire case tossed out. prosecutors argued they should be allowed to testify to show the comedian had a long history

of drugging and attacking women. reaching across the aisles for progress. making a bipartisan pitch for new gun safety legislation. republican senator pat toomey and chris coons are sponsoring the bill. alerting state law enforcement when someone who isn't allowed to buy a gun isn't allowed to buy one. >> to demonstrate you can make progress, can make common ground. >> will make sure that state and local law enforcement gets notification. >> the bill is sponsored by both u.s. state senators, a republican and a democrat. former trump campaign aide is refusing to appear before a grand jury in the russia

that dumped 11 loads in my yards. >> reporter: causing this sink hole to form on his prompt. he says the new problems started soon after the state granted permission to dig again. when the second sink hole open, it was deep enough to fit this car and truck. these tracks are wide enough to fit a pin inside. >> this is atrocious situation for the constituents of my district. this is potentially a dangerous situation. >> reporter: we talked to pennsylvania state senator today. >> this pipeline goes adjacent to schools and retirement communities and nursing homes.

screening. happening in upper dashy high school performancing arts. get tickets now on nbc 10.com. everyone wants to know how much snow we will see and when. >> that is what i am going to cover. tuesday night for much of the area, we start with rain. this could be during the evening commute. not a time period to worry about accumulations. wednesday morning, pre dawn, right through the morning commute we are going to see that rain transitioning to wet snow? some areas, it could be sloppy and slippery in some places. you are going to have to be careful.

this is not going to transition to rain to you. this whole will switch over to snow in philadelphia, northern delaware, and parts of south jersey. between 4:00 and 10:00 is when the heaviest steadest snow comes down. as it picks up in intensity, it is going to start to stick and be sloppy. our storm system is coming out of the upper midwest turning around and going to combine with one that is off the coast and that is the low that we are going to be watching. let's watch what happens. tomorrow evening rain showers making their way into delaware. all of this is a mix unless you get into the poconos or lehigh valley. let's walk on through.

search:30 wednesday morning mix across philadelphia. you get up into the upper suburbs in lehigh valley and you are at the freezing mark. you stay in snow throughout the day. philadelphia, mount holly, millville, starting to see snow move into the area. by 8:30 night, it starts moving out. temperatures start to fall quickly. the snow will be out there, wet, heavy, and sticking to the power line and the tree branches. the strongest are out along the jersey shore. 40, 45 miles an hour wind gust. these trees will be laden with heavy wet snow. and everything that blows them around is going to cause cracking and possibly more trees to come down. south jersey and the shore, we stay in rain.

we see a mix in south jersey and then it changes to snow. atlantic city, you could see 1.5 inches. delaware, we are going to be looking at southern delaware with practically nothing, dover, a couple of inches. middletown, going to see perhaps 3-5 inches of snow. philadelphia, we start with the mixing in the morning then transition to the snow in the afternoon. we could see anywhere from perhaps that 5 inch mark on up, philadelphia. watch these numbers. you stay in snow throughout the entire day. they go upwards maybe a foot in allen town.
